Scale Ruler Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy applies to Scale Ruler. The app provides on-screen scale rulers, manual calibration, label notes, and label-data export without requiring an account.
Data Collection and Tracking
The app does not collect, upload, sell, or share personal data. It does not track you across apps or websites and contains no advertising, analytics, or profiling features.
Local Data on Your Device
To provide its core features, the app stores calibration values, appearance, language, scale settings, the current ruler face, and label position, color, note, lock state, creation time, and modification time locally on your device. This data is read only by the app and does not leave your device automatically.
Data Export
Only when you choose to export does the app create a CSV file containing ruler face, position, scale, measurement, note, lock state, and timestamps. The file is passed to the system save location or recipient you select. You and the selected service are responsible for the exported file; the app never uploads it automatically.
Support Email
If you choose to send a support email, your email service provides the developer with your email address, message, and anything you attach. The developer uses this information only to reply, troubleshoot, and improve the app; it is never sold or used for advertising. You may contact the developer at any time to request deletion of related email records.
In-App Purchase
Professional purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app only reads the entitlement status supplied by Apple to unlock features and restore purchases. The developer does not receive your bank card details, payment account, or complete transaction credentials.
Permissions and Third-Party Services
The app does not request access to location, camera, photos, contacts, microphone, Bluetooth, or health data and includes no third-party advertising, analytics, or data-collection SDKs. File saving and email use iOS system interfaces that you open intentionally.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local settings and labels remain until you delete labels, delete all labels, or uninstall the app. You may export a backup first, then delete all labels under Settings — Label Data. Uninstalling removes data in the app container. Requests to delete support email records can be sent to the contact address below.
Children's Privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal data. Because the app does not collect account or usage data, use by a child does not create additional data collection.
Policy Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy and its App Store privacy information will be updated. Material changes will be described in a new app version or on the product page.
